Claim(s) Made Against Jonathan Lee Whitver:
Claim Date: 2/23/2026
“Bankers Life and Casualty Company (BLC), an affiliated insurance company of Bankers Life Securities, Inc. (BLS), received a written client complaint and provided a copy to BLS on February 23, 2026. In the complaint, relating to the purchase of a BLC annuity in 2025, the client alleged that they were misled, including allegations that the product was unsuitable due to liquidity constraints. The client further alleged that the transaction did not align with their stated risk tolerance and income needs and raised concerns regarding supervisory oversight. The client requested rescission of the policy and a refund of premiums. BLC and BLS determined the former representative‘s recommendations were suitable and in the client‘s best interest and denied the allegations. While the BLC annuity is not a security and was issued by BLC, the Firm is reporting this complaint because the source of funding for the annuity came from the liquidation of securities recommended by a former financial representative of the Firm.”
