Investigating Summit Investment and LJM Funds Claims

Sean Sweeney and the Securities Lawyers at Halling & Cayo are investigating potential claims regarding Summit Investment Management, LTD, based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and sales of LJM Preservation and Growth (LJMIX) and the hedge fund, LJM Fund, L.P.

The LJM investments lost significant value in early 2018 in the matter of a few days. It became clear that these investments that were being sold and recommended as safe investments were anything but. Rather than disclosing the risks associated with the LJM Preservation and Growth (LJMIX) investment, investors were being told by their brokers that it was a “good,” “safe,” “low-risk,” high-return,” “reliable,” investment.

As one analyst put it, “The funds pattern of investment amounted to the Fund’s strategy of picking up nickels and dimes in front of a steamroller.”

According to public records, Summit is facing two separate arbitration claims related to the sale of these investments to their advisory customers who “the majority of their value in the period of two days.”
