Claimant trusted and relied upon Respondent to provide her with suitable investments that met her needs and goals. For whatever reason, the Financial Advisor sold Claimant $49,000 in a speculative junk bond investment called GWG. In April 2022, GWG declared bankruptcy all but guaranteeing that the $49,000 investment will be lost. As a result of the improper recommendations, Claimant has suffered damages of approximately $49,000 during a time when the markets have enjoyed record returns. Respondent‘s misconduct, includes but is not limited to negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, misrepresentation, and violations of FINRA‘s conduct rules.”
